Branka Brmbota is the artist name of Branislava Radakovich. Branka was born in 1939 in Lika, Croatia. Her extraordinary talent was noticed and admired already in the first year of elementary school by both her peers and her teachers.

In 1952 she made her first oil painting.

After graduating from the Zagreb School of Applied Arts, painting department, she had her first independent exhibition in 1962 under the artist's name of Branka Brmbota, whereupon she undertook several trips to Paris for further study.

From that time onwards, she continued to exhibit her work regularly in Dubrovnik (1962 - 1976), Zagreb (1962 - 1987) and Belgrade (1984); Paintings of hers which were exhibited in the shows in Dubrovnik, as well as those included in the standing exhibition in Zagreb "Esplanade" hotel in Zagreb (1970 - 1974), were mostly purchased by foreign guests and visitors.

In 1991 she accepted the invitation of a large international trade company to come to work and exhibit in Austria where she stayed till 1995.  

Till 1992 she was a member of the Artists' Association of Croatia.

In 1995 she held independent exhibitions in Vienna and Athens.

From 1995 Branka worked and lived in Koper, Slovenija.
Since 2002 she has been working and exhibiting in The Netherlands.

Her artistic achievements have frequently been reviewed by a number of distinguished Croatian art critics, such as Prof. Lidija Tocilj, Prof. Josip Depolo, Dr. Matko Peic, Dr. Vinko Zlamalik, Dr. Predrag Matvejevic and Prof. Juraj Baldani.  Branka's works can be found in many private and public collections all over the world, i.e. in Amsterdam, Vienna, Zurich, Munich, Rome, Milan, Turin, Padua, Paris, Nijmegen, London, New York, Los Angeles, Monte Carlo, Moscow, Stockholm, Zagreb, Belgrade, Ljubljana, etc.
